Transportation Campaigns

The machines we use for transportation—from the cars we drive to the ships and trucks that haul freight—together account for half of California’s global warming pollution. CCA has been known for its work on transportation since we spearheaded California’s original Smog Check program in the early 1980s. We are working to reduce emissions from:

Passenger Vehicles

Every day, Californians drive an average of 800 million miles. This massive daily migration produces tons of pollution.

More than 40% of products entering the United States come through California’s ports and are then transported across our state.

About 1/4 of transportation-related air pollution originates from sources such as farm equipment and construction vehicles.
