Sign on to support a strong warehouse pollution rule

Stand up for clean air in Southern California

We all know Southern California has some of the dirtiest air in the nation; but did you know that diesel particulates are the number one toxic pollutant in our air? These cancer-causing little bits of unburnt fuel, carbon, metal shavings and chemicals plague Southern California. From smoggy skies, toxic air and the climate crisis, transportation is the leading cause of air pollution; and much of it comes from good movement.

Sadly, low-income earners and people of color are the most impacted by diesel exhaust. Not only were freeways built through their neighborhoods over the decades, but the ever-growing network of warehouses are encroaching closer to homes and schools.

You can do something about this: This Friday at 9 a.m., the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) will be considering landmark rules to reduce pollution from warehouses. These new rules will require the goods movement industry to deploy clean trucks and install clean charging and fueling infrastructure. Not only will this bring cleaner air, but it will also create jobs and support clean technologies.

But industry is making a hard, last minute push against the rule. Sign on below to take action to support strengthening and passing this important proposal:
